Introduction

LeadSlides is an AI tool that turns your ideas or pasted text into social media carousels. This Privacy Policy explains what information LeadSlides collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The effective date of this policy is the Last updated date shown above.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information so we can provide and operate LeadSlides:

• Account information. When you create an account or sign in, including with Sign in with Google or Sign in with Facebook, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your email address, name, profile image, and the basic profile from the social login you choose.
• Content you create. The text, titles, and brand kit you enter (display name, social handle, accent color, voice or tone prompt, and target platform) and any images you upload (avatar, cover, and slide photos).
• Generation inputs. The prompts and any text you paste to generate a carousel are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce your slides.
• Billing information. If you subscribe to Pro, payments are handled by our billing provider, Polar. We store your subscription status and your Polar customer and subscription identifiers, and we do not store your full card details.
• Usage and analytics. When analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics to collect pages viewed, generation events, approximate location, IP address, and device or browser information.
• Technical data. Your IP address, which we use in hashed form to enforce free-tier rate limits and prevent abuse.

Cookies and local storage

LeadSlides relies on a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Session cookies. Clerk session cookies keep you signed in.
• Analytics cookies. Google Analytics cookies (for example, _ga and _gid) are set only when analytics is enabled.
• Local storage. A localStorage entry saves your in-progress carousel draft in your own browser.
• Returning-visitor signal. A browser signal from FingerprintJS helps us recognize returning visitors.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Where required, visitors in the EU and UK can decline non-essential cookies.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the service.
• Generate carousels.
• Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• Process payments.
• Prevent abuse and enforce limits.
• Analyze and improve the product.
• Communicate with you about your account.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who operate the service on our behalf, and each processes data only to provide its function:

• Clerk for authentication.
• Anthropic for AI generation.
• Cloudflare R2 for image storage.
• Polar for billing.
• Upstash for rate limiting.
• Google Analytics for analytics.
• Google Fonts for font delivery.
• Our hosting provider for running the service.

AI processing

The content you submit for generation is sent to Anthropic to create your slides. Anthropic processes these inputs to generate your carousel and acts as our service provider for this purpose. Please do not submit sensitive personal information in your prompts.

Data retention

• In-progress drafts stay in your browser until you clear them.
• Saved carousels and your brand kit are kept until you delete them or your account.
• Billing records are retained as required for tax and accounting.
• Analytics data follows Google retention settings.

Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, or delete your data. See our Data Deletion page for how to delete everything. You can opt out of analytics through your browser or by declining consent.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know, the right to delete, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell your data.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

Children

LeadSlides is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last updated date shown above.
