How it works

From a rough thought to a finished carousel.

  1. Upload your image

Drop in one wide panorama or a tall graphic. It stays in your browser the whole time, nothing is uploaded to a server.

  2. Pick slides and shape

Choose 2 to 10 slides and a shape: square, portrait (1080x1350), or story. The tool cuts contiguous columns that line up edge to edge.

  3. Download and post in order

Grab each slide as a JPEG or the whole set as a ZIP, then post them left to right so the seams disappear into one swipeable image.

  • For coaches with one big visual

Turn a single before-and-after, a framework diagram, or a timeline into a swipe that pulls people across every slide instead of cramming it into one square.

  • Seamless, not stretched

Each cut matches the exact aspect ratio Instagram expects, so slides line up cleanly with no awkward crop, letterbox, or warped faces.

  • A step toward the full carousel

Splitting an image is the layout half. When you want the words too, the hook, the value slides, and the call to action, the studio writes and lays out the whole carousel for you.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does the image splitter upload my photo anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser using your device, the image is read locally and cut with Canvas. Nothing is sent to a server, so it works offline once the page has loaded.
What size should my image be before I split it?
Start as wide as you can. For a clean portrait carousel, an image around 1080 pixels tall per slide works well, so a 5-slide portrait split is roughly 5400 pixels wide. Bigger is fine, the tool crops to the shape you pick.
How do I post the slides so the seams disappear?
Add them to one Instagram carousel post in left-to-right order: slide 1 first, then 2, then 3. As people swipe, the columns line up edge to edge and read as one continuous image.
Square, portrait, or story, which should I choose?
Portrait (1080x1350) takes the most vertical space in the feed and is the safest default for carousels. Square (1080x1080) is the classic look, and story (1080x1920) is for full-screen Stories rather than the feed grid.
Is the Instagram image splitter really free with no watermark?
Yes. No signup, no login, no watermark on the output. The slides come out as clean JPEGs you own outright.
